REQUIRED SKILLS AND WORKING EXPERIENCE
We are looking for a driven Senior .NET Developer who enjoys solving problems, who initiates solutions and discussions, and who believes that any challenge can be scaled with the right mindset and tools.
We have found that people who match the following requirements are the ones who fit us best:
- Support new programs and systems utilising C#, SQL, and frameworks and technologies WPF or WCF, ASP.Net Core, MVC Web API, LINQ to SQL
- Expert understanding of SQL and WPF/WinForms is required – combining both desktop and web development, as required
- Working alongside the Client Care team to investigate customer issues and resolving data fixes via SQL
- Handling large data sets and providing bulk data fixes whilst responding to supplier queries
- Identify requirements for product improvements and working with support team to identify and develop scripts to optimize and maintain systems
- Follow JIRA and in-house software processes and participate in configuration management
- Investigate issues and suggest solutions and workarounds. Identify and implement bug fixes
- Must ensure the Product Owner has authorised all system design changes
- Ensure all systems comply with government legislation through provided guidelines
- Participate fully in code reviews with members of the Development Team
- Attend sprint reviews to keep up to date with new developments of our products
- Maintain standards of coding to ensure the code base is maintainable
- Maintain code-based documentation to the standards set by the Development Team
- Work to be assigned and logged via Jira Cloud
- Manage all code changes via Bitbucket Cloud
- Ensure that all data is managed in accordance with the data protection act and respect your role as a data controller in the business and ensure that confidentiality is always maintained
- Become an expert in the Clients business processes to ensure a full understanding of the requirements of the marketplace, which must then translate into suitable business logic and functionality in our systems
- Ensure all changes have been tested before merging into the code base
